Founder note
I moved to Vienna with an 8-month-old, and learned fast that a baby that young takes every hour and every bit of energy you have. Between feeds and naps, I was trying to buy furniture, find a paediatrician who speaks English, work out which playgrounds are actually baby-friendly, and build a support system from scratch. Moving countries with a small child is hard to explain unless you've lived it. The tasks aren't complicated; you just never have the energy to do them. What I really needed was community: other parents who'd done it, venues I could trust, and a faster way to feel at home. Famaway is the product I wish existed that first year.
